DPDP Compliance

The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP) is India’s first comprehensive data protection law, designed to safeguard the rights of individuals regarding their personal data. This page explains how Kerala PSC General Knowledge Hub complies with the DPDP and outlines your rights as a data principal.

Scope and Applicability

Kerala PSC General Knowledge Hub is an informational blog that does not require user registration, account creation, or collection of personal data through forms. We do not store personal information in databases. However, we may collect limited, non-identifiable data through third-party analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and web server logs, which may include IP addresses, browser types, and browsing behavior. This data is processed solely for improving user experience and site performance, in accordance with the DPDP.

Your Rights Under DPDP

As a data principal, you have the following rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023:

  • Right to access information about how your personal data is processed
  • Right to correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data
  • Right to erasure of your personal data
  • Right to grievance redressal if you believe your rights have been violated
  • Right to nominate another individual to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity

Please note: Since we do not actively collect or store personal data, most of these rights may not apply directly. However, you may still request clarification or deletion of any data inadvertently collected.

How We Comply

We comply with the DPDP by:

  • Not collecting personal data unless strictly necessary
  • Using only anonymized or aggregated data for analytics
  • Ensuring third-party service providers (e.g., analytics platforms) adhere to DPDP-compliant practices
  • Not selling, sharing, or monetizing personal data
  • Reviewing data processing activities annually for compliance

Data We Process

Any data we process is limited to:

  • IP addresses (anonymized)
  • Browser and device information (for technical functionality)
  • Usage patterns (aggregated, non-identifiable)

This data is not linked to any individual’s name, email, phone number, or other identifiers.

Legal Basis for Processing

Our processing of limited data is based on legitimate interest under Section 5(2) of the DPDP, specifically for:

  • Ensuring website security and functionality
  • Improving content delivery and user experience
  • Complying with legal obligations related to digital service provision

How to Exercise Your Rights

To exercise your rights under the DPDP, please contact us via email at [email protected]. Include:

  • Your full name

We are legally obligated to respond to your request within 30 days of receipt, as mandated by the DPDP. In exceptional cases, we may extend this period by an additional 15 days and will notify you of the reason for the delay.

No Discrimination Policy

We do not and will not deny, charge different prices, or provide a different quality of service to you because you exercised your rights under the DPDP.
